That Heaney translation is just awful. I recommend Chickering or Rebsamen.

At the moment, I'm finishing Kings of the North by Elizabeth Moon and Omnitopia Dawn by Diane Duane.
I want to recommend Omnitopia Dawn in particular. It's about a MMORPG, its players, and its creators.

I just finished The Shirt On His Back by Barbara Hambly, part of a series of historical novels set in antebellum New Orleans. It's good, but I recommend that you start at the beginning of the series so as to appreciate it even more.
