Ingredients: 8 ounces ground beef (or venison) 8 ounces hot sausage 1 large onion, diced salt and pepper to taste 28 ounce can whole tomatoes, mashed and drained 6 ounces tomato paste 2 ounces tomato sauce 2 teaspoons fresh oregano 2 teaspoons garlic powder 2 pounds zucchini, sliced 0.25 inch thick 2 ounces freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions: - In an oven-safe pan, brown ground beef, sausage, and onion. - Add salt and pepper, to taste. - Add whole tomatoes, tomato paste, and tomato sauce. - Add oregano and garlic powder. - Simmer for 5 minutes. - Add zucchini. - Mix thoroughly, then sprinkle with Parmesan. - Bake at 350 F until cheese melts and starts to brown (about 10 minutes)
