From a town known as Dundee, in southern Valorn Strode a hero with a sword and shield to hand The acts of derring-do Made a legend live, it's true, In every corner of this very land.
It started with some vermin in the sewer And then the nearby field-and-forest get A quest or two enjoined A new name to be coined Thus word spread of The Initiate.
Our hero was not one to travel heavy And always seemed to be as one possessed The reputation grew, as did the claim. He was never really noble Nor ever had a place to safely rest But all the folk of Valorn knew his name.
He ventured his way from Dundee north to Ryndell From Ipscax east to terrible Fartown And it served his legend well For folks, they loved to tell 'Bout when The Initiate came to their town.
One cold day a demon raid caught him unaware Balthazar's mighty minions created more than simple strife Other heroes and the stuff of legend Came quickly to repel and to defend Yet all too quickly darkness reigned - he'd lost his life.
Our hero was not one to travel heavy And always seemed to be as one possessed The reputation grew, as did the claim. He was never really noble But he'd finally found a place to safely rest 'Neath that lifestone monument that bears his name.
